New regional managing partner
Steve Le Bas
Accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO LLP has announced that audit partner, Steve Le Bas will take over as regional managing partner in its Southampton office from 1 October.
Steve takes over the role from Malcolm Thixton, who has led BDO in the Central South region for more than ten years. During this time the firm has secured its position as the leading firm to the mid-market locally and added a number of significant and internationally focused companies to its portfolio.
Steve has worked with many of the region’s largest and well recognised companies, having worked for the firm in Southampton for 30 years.
Commenting on his appointment, Steve said: “I am proud of the strength of our regional team and am fully committed to further enhancing it. I have a great foundation on which to build thanks to all of the work Malcolm, and our wider partner group, have done over the last 10-15 years.
“It’s a challenging but exciting time to take on leadership of the local office. I’m looking forward to ensuring we continue to help businesses navigate a fast changing and complex economic environment. We have a huge breadth of services we can offer companies in the Central South, and we will be further investing in our advisory and consulting teams over the coming year.”
Malcolm Thixton added: “I have worked with Steve throughout his career in the Central South and so I’m delighted to be passing on the leadership of the office to him. We have such a great local team and I’ve always been so impressed by the dedication and care with which they support the businesses we work with. I look forward to seeing what the coming years bring under Steve’s direction.”
