Award winning hotel ends 2019 on a high

The Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth ended the year on a high note as they became finalists in the South West Tourism Excellence Awards.
The family-run hotel has just won Gold in the Business Events and Wedding Venue of the Year and Bronze in the Large Hotel category at the Dorset Tourism Awards. But it’s not the first time that they have been recognised for their development and guest-centric approach at this event. In 2017, the Hotel received Bronze in The Large Hotel category and in 2015 Silver in Venue and Business Tourism. The Marsham Court is also known for their beautiful gardens for which they have also received multiple awards.
As such, it comes as no surprise that they have now become finalists in the Business Event Venue of the Year category in the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards.
There is still a bit time before the results are known as The Tourism Excellence Awards are being held at Exeter Cathedral in February 2020. Nevertheless, it is a huge achievement for the hotel as only 16 Dorset businesses made the finalists’ shortlist.

In 2019, the family-run hotel introduced many interesting solutions to make their guests’ stay even more convenient. Dog-friendly and interconnected rooms are just a couple of them.
“My family bought the hotel in 1987 and there has never been a time when we did not work on the development of the building or our services. I am so proud to see how far we’ve come, and I am excited to see what the future will bring.”
Jane Swift, Business Development Director was over the moon when she found out they had been chosen as finalists in the Business Event Venue of the Year category.

Bournemouth is a perfect place to organise any type of function or event due to it’s close proximity to bigger cities and convenient transport links. We have 9 function rooms perfect for any occasion, including team development activities. Additionally, we also organise New2Business networking meetings together with the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce to help local businesses flourish.”
