Recruiters use 'reverse advent calendar' to collect toys for charities

The staff team at Rubicon Recruitment Group in Poole have swapped their traditional advent calendar for a ‘reverse’ version to help three charities.

Each day between now and Christmas, the team are donating toys which are being  distributed to three good causes:

DEBRA the national charity that funds research and healthcare to support people affected by the painful genetic skin blistering Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB); Julia’s House which operates children’s hospices in Dorset and Wiltshire, and Naomi House & Jacksplace, which runs children’s hospices from Dorset to Sussex.

Dominic Rowe, Social Media Coordinator at Rubicon said: “These charities provide life-changing support for families and children. And the Rubicon team is certainly enjoying playing ‘Santa’ for them.

“It’s exciting researching and buying toys for children of all ages – and it has even more meaning as we know that many of the young people we are buying for are poorly.”

Rubicon was established in 1982 and works with 389 businesses, sourcing and placing permanent candidates, contractors and temporary staff into a variety of business sectors.

The company welcomed representatives of DEBRA to its Poole office on December 6 to collect their toys.

Julia’s House popped in on December 13 and Naomi House are dropping by on December 20.
