Salisbury City Council let out 18 College Street free of charge to the Foundation for Social Change and Inclusion (FSCI) from Tuesday 5 November until Thursday 5 December.

Over 650 local volunteers gave their time across the 3 weeks it was open to help FSCI check and pack thousands of Christmas shoe boxes.

The City Council is delighted to hear that approx. 10,000 shoe boxes have been donated this year.

The charity has been running a Christmas Box Appeal for many years which generates several thousands of donated shoeboxes full of small presents. The Appeal is very popular with local schools and businesses with over 130 schools involved.

Rich Parsons, the Operations Manager for FSCI said “Thank you so much for letting us use 18 College St. We would really have been stuck without Salisbury City Council’s support.”
