Its developments across the country are located on brownfield sites of between 0.4 and 1.5 acres, and always within easy walking distance of town centre shops and amenities and good public transport links. Benefits of this type of housing include boosting local high streets which benefit from a regular customer base with ‘grey pounds’ to spend, and supporting the wider housing market by enabling older people to downsize and free up under-occupied family homes for younger people.
