Community & Corporate Fundraiser, Vanessa Howden-Smith braves the elements for Wing Walking.

Lewis-Manning’s Community & Corporate Fundraiser, Vanessa Howden-Smith is braving the elements and living up to her adrenaline junkie reputation by Wing Walking to raise money for Lewis-Manning Hospice.

Vanessa will be heading to Compton Abbas, Dorset on the Saturday 29th June 2019 to partake in this challenge. Vanessa has never done anything like this before, but you will always find her on the biggest and scariest rides at a theme park, so she’s had some good practice. The plane will be travelling at approximately 130mph and is 500 feet in the air, and if weather conditions permit it, the plane will be doing a loop-the-loop, which definitely deserves a sponsorship!

If you would like to sponsor our very own daredevil then please visit Vanessa’s JustGiving page, www.justgiving.com/fundraising/vanessa-howden-smith3

“I cannot wait to take part in this fundraiser for Lewis-Manning Hospice, even though I am slightly nervous as I’ve never done Wing Walking before! I have worked in hospices as a fundraiser for many years and it’s a cause that is close to my heart. We do fantastic work here at Lewis-Manning Hospice and by sponsoring me you will help us pay for the running of our day hospice, lunches for patients and supplies for our Lymphoedema clinic & art therapy, the list is endless! Please give what you can and know that you are making a difference to someone’s life in our community. ”
