Lara Mott, CEO and Co-founder of ImproveWell, will discuss her journey at Startup Grind Bournemouth on the 22nd May as part of a global campaign to celebrate female entrepreneurs.

The startups of Bournemouth will gather as part of the #SGWomen campaign celebrating female entrepreneurs across the globe. The celebrations, which have been organised by Startup Grind Bournemouth, include networking opportunities with other startups and a fireside chat with accomplished healthcare entrepreneur Lara Mott.

Through her continued success in healthcare, Lara was named a “rising star” amongst the top 50 female leaders in UK healthcare in a report produced by BioBeat. The impact of ImproveWell has also seen Lara appointed as BMJ’s first Entrepreneur in Residence where she will provide advice to widen BMJ’s horizons for innovation and entrepreneurship with the aim of creating ‘a healthier world’.

Her talk at Startup Grind Bournemouth will discuss innovation in public healthcare and what ImproveWell has achieved since being launched in 2016. Lara will also discuss different routes to investment and achieving overseas expansion.

Lara said:
“I’m delighted to be invited to talk at Startup Grind Bournemouth, especially in celebrating female entrepreneurs. I hope that through sharing my experience with the attendees people may learn something new, or think about something differently, to inspire them on their own entrepreneurial journeys.”

Marcus Wincott, Director of Startup Grind Bournemouth, said:
“More and more amazing, unique companies are being founded by women and these successes should definitely be celebrated more, which is why the #SGWomen campaign is so important. Lara’s story is super exciting, and I can’t wait to hear her insights.”

The #SGWomen campaign is a global campaign to celebrate female entrepreneurs established by Startup Grind - the world’s largest independent startup community which connects more than 2,000,000 entrepreneurs in over 500 chapters.
