Digital Gaming Guru Behind LEGO Games to Discuss Future of Gaming Industry

Mike Hawkyard, Chief Strategy Officer of Gamebrain and Managing Director of Amuzo, will address Bournemouth’s startup community about how to start, grow and run a business in the digital gaming industry at Startup Grind Bournemouth on the 20th February.

Startup businesses in Bournemouth have the opportunity to learn from a leading figure in the digital gaming industry at Startup Grind Bournemouth on the 20th February. This event’s speaker, Mike Hawkyard, will be drawing on his experience working with clients such as LEGO, KPMG and the RNLI, to educate and inspire local startups through a fireside chat.

Mike Hawkyard possesses years of experience running companies across the digital industry, including digital gaming and marketing. He is currently the Managing Director of Amuzo, a game development company in Bournemouth which has grown to a team of 30 game makers. Amuzo are the brains behind well-known games such as LEGO City and LEGO Ninjago Ride Ninja.

Through years of working with digital gaming companies, Mike has gained a wealth of knowledge on how to thrive in the industry.
Working in Bournemouth for the past 5 years, Mike understands the local economy and the challenges that startup companies face. Aside from sharing his knowledge of how to start a gaming app development business, Mike will be discussing how to build successful games, the power of gamified learning and the future of digital gaming.
