Bournemouth Mayor Marks Opening of new Bournemouth Coastal BID offices

Bournemouth Coastal BID has moved to a new office in Boscombe’s Ashley Road, with the Mayor of Bournemouth cutting the ribbon to declare the premises open on Friday, January 25th.

Bournemouth Coastal BID is more accessible than ever following an office move back to the heart of its coastal areas.
After several years based in Burlington Arcade in Bournemouth town centre, outside its operation area, the Coastal BID has now relocated to 26 Ashley Road, Boscombe, adjacent to the bustling Boscombe precinct and just opposite the renowned Sovereign Shopping Centre.

An official opening took place on Friday, January 25, attended by dignitaries including CEO of Dorset Chamber of Commerce Ian Girling, and The Mayor of Bournemouth Councillor Derek Borthwick, who kindly did the honours, cutting a red ribbon to declare the new office space open.

The former shop, now refitted internally and kitted out with new external signage, is located opposite one of the entrances to the Sovereign Centre, and a stone’s throw from the pedestrianised high street. Its location is also central in the Coastal BID area which stretches along the coast from Westbourne to Hengistbury Head.
Manned by members of the team including Coastal BID Manager Stefan Krause, Business Liaison Officer Annette Plaistow-Trapaud and Bournemouth Coastal Assistant Katie Bawden, the new offices will be open between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday - making it even easy for levy payers to get in touch in person.

Coastal BID Manager Stefan Krause said:
“This move is something which has been many months in the planning and we are delighted to finally be in our new office space, and back at the heart of the area we serve.’
Paul Clarke, Chairman of Bournemouth Coastal BID, said:
“This new location in Ashley Road in Boscombe is the perfect spot for the Town Centre BID offices. Our constant engagement and connection with the businesses from Westbourne to Hengistbury Head whose interests we serve is absolutely at the heart of what we do, so to be at the heart of that area is exactly where we want to be.
“I have no doubt we are now more accessible and easier to find, and I am looking forward to welcoming levy payers and Coastal BID partners to this new space to discuss face to face what we can do to continue our mission to make our coastal villages as vibrant and inviting as they can be.’

Established in 2012, the Coastal BID represents approximately 760 eligible businesses from Westbourne to Hengistbury Head, supporting them, enhancing the appeal of their areas and drawing in more shoppers.
