Crumbs welcomes new supervisor

Bournemouth based catering charity The Crumbs Project is delighted to announce the appointment of Lee Whalley as its new Food Services Supervisor.


The Crumbs Project, often referred to as the catering company with a heart; works with adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and stabilized addictions. The charity helps trainees achieve independence through a combination of supported training and work experience.

Lee joins the charity with a wealth of experience, having ran his own catering and tea room business for 18 years in the heart of Poole. His new role will involve overseeing the whole food services operation at The Crumbs Project, as well as mentoring trainees and coordinating the team of Food Service Assistant’s. He will also be responsible for training Crumbs’ mixed ability workforce in a range of catering techniques, as well as health and food safety.

Lee said;” I am delighted to take on this new role at The Crumbs Project. This is a fantastic charity, which is having a positive impact on the lives of many disadvantaged people in the local community.
“The Crumbs Project has a great reputation for customer service and I’m looking forward to working with the trainees to create some new great-tasting menus.”
