Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is once again running its successful tree-cycling scheme to help the local community recycle their Christmas trees while raising funds to make a difference to children and adults living with disabilities in Dorset.

The initiative will be taking place on Saturday 5, Sunday 6 and Monday 7 January, where residents in Poole, Bournemouth and East Dorset can have their Christmas tree collected in exchange for a donation, all in the name of charity.

Nicole Warrilow, corporate and community manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “This will be the fourth year of collecting and recycling Christmas trees following the huge success of the previous years. Last year we collected 1,000 trees and raised £8,000, thanks to the local community signing up to recycle their festive tree.

“We would also like to thank our local sponsors Maidmans Moving & Storage, Keyfort Ltd and Timbers Tree Care who are all supporting the initiative by giving up their time and resources to help with the collections, route planning and chipping of trees.”

To have your tree collected, Diverse Abilities is asking for a minimum donation of £5. All you need to do is book via Diverse Abilities, leave your tree outside your home and they will collect hassle free.
