Outdoor yoga sessions will return to Knoll Gardens near Wimborne this June for the third year running.
Jackie Hayfield is a fully qualified yoga teacher and therapist and the format of her outdoor classes are very much led by the weather. If the sun shines, the yoga mats are rolled out on the Lower Lawn for a more conventional class. If it’s a little chilly, everyone is encouraged to keep their coats on whilst they are guided on a mindfulness walk and standing yoga practice around the beautiful gardens; and if the rain decides to fall, the class takes place under the generously sized marquee.
Jackie’s outdoor yoga sessions have proved highly popular since they were introduced to Knoll’s award winning naturalistic gardens in 2016 so early booking is recommended.
“I’m really looking forward to returning to Knoll Gardens this year” says Jackie. “Being outside in such a tranquil setting adds to the yoga experience and helps start the day in the best way possible. There really is something extra special about practicing yoga in this amazing outdoor space, especially in the early morning before the garden opens to the public.”
Classes are suitable for all levels, including complete beginners, and run every Thursday morning in June, July and September, from 9-10am. Outdoor mats are provided, and classes can be booked individually or as a complete series.

Each session costs £8 per person. To book email Jackie at Jackie.hayfield@sky.com or call 07955 587772
Knoll Gardens’ owner, Neil Lucas, said, “The gardens provide a restful and calming environment for Jackie’s yoga classes and participants are welcome to stay on and spend some time discovering our rare and unusual trees and shrubs as well as our acclaimed ornamental grasses.”
Knoll’s 2018 programme features over 50 wildlife, horticultural and lifestyle events.
